This whimsical yet cogent visual narrative features a scanned-in sugar sculpture as the protagonist who interacts with hand-drawn characters and scenes in an adventure which spans thousands of years of history, mythology and politics.

Madonnas, Queens & Other Heroes

Under the title "Madonnas Queens & Other Heroes," a cross-media project in sculpture and comic drawing was created. Sculptures made of soap, sugar, wax and chocolate were incorporated by Geraldine Searles into her comic drawings, thus becoming protagonists of a short story.
